Edsbyverken which, among other things, is a leading manufacturer of the Swan-labeled office furniture merges with Senab that specializes in the sale of furnishings to the public places in and outside Sweden.
The owners of the two companies form a joint holding company that acquires Edsbyverken and Senab. The companies will operate as two separate subsidiaries where the current lines remain.
Edsbyverken have about 300 employees at the factory in Edsbyn and was among others in 2007, the largest supplier of office furniture to the Swedish state. For example Edsbyn manufactured all office furnishings to the Government office's new office Kv. Blåmannen, where major environmental requirements were placed on all interior.
Senab currently has about 100 employees at its offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö, and has, among other things, several high-furnishing projects on its track record as House of Sweden in Washington and Volvo Next Face profile concept for Volvo dealers worldwide.
The new constellation expects a turnover of approximately 1.1 billion for 2009.
Senab and Edsbyverken have worked together several years on the development of office jobs. - This is a natural step in our development, in this way, we create resources to strengthen our sales organization and to process new markets mainly outside Sweden, where we are growing strongly. We will also be able to offer our clients competitive products, among other environmentally friendly interior Edsbyverken, where demand is constantly increasing from increasingly environmentally conscious business. Both companies represent strong brands and have great potential to develop.
