The future
Since early February, passers-by have been greeted by something special in our display window at Regeringsgatan 66. Here, students from Beckmans College of Design have been returning for four years with their own ideas, their own expressions, and their own stories.
Since 2023, Senab and Beckmans have been working closely together, giving students from the Form program the opportunity to work with a real place in a real context. The result has been a number of installations that explore materials, spatiality, and contemporary issues—right in the middle of the city.
For us, collaboration is about opening doors. It's about letting the next generation of designers test their ideas on a full scale, in collaboration with suppliers and with access to materials and production. Their ideas, their process, and their perspective are at the center of it all. Collaboration is a creative dialogue that brings energy, curiosity, and contemporary thinking into Senab's operations.

Senab × Beckmans
The initiative was presented ahead of the 2023 furniture fair. Together with Morgan Rudberg, subject coordinator and lecturer in Design at Beckmans, the idea was formed to create a platform where students could design a room directly adjacent to Senab's entrance.
The participating students are enrolled in the Form bachelor's program (180 credits). The assignment gives them the opportunity to work on a 1:1 scale, handle material choices, and meet the practical requirements that come with a public installation. Through this collaboration, they gain experience of how ideas meet reality—and how form interacts with space, people, and materials.
Over the years, several students have left their mark on the place.

A timeless message
Exhibition of the Year 2026
With deep roots to weather the storm, soft enough to bow to the wind.
An installation that conveys a message about timelessness and material things that carry greater value than what meets the eye.
With Scandinavian design classics as symbols of the value of a familiar face in an ever-changing world.
As the years pass and rooms change, they return with forms that carry history and inspiration for generations. Humble enough to make room for new stars, confident that they will stand the test of time.

About Beckmans College of Design
Beckmans College of Design was founded in 1939 by Anders Beckman, Göta Trägårdh, Carl Axel Virin, and Bibi Lindström. From the very beginning, the education was characterized by close collaboration with the surrounding world—with the goal of building bridges between art and industry, ideas and reality.
Today, the school offers three bachelor's programs in the arts: Form, Fashion, and Visual Communication. The programs combine artistic and theoretical study with a highly creative pace, professional teachers, and strong links to industry and society. Sustainability, diversity, and contemporary issues are a natural part of the teaching.
Beckmans has 123 students and around 30 employees, as well as a large number of guest lecturers each year. Since 2022, the school has been operating in new premises at Agavägen 54 in Lidingö.
A proud collaboration
We are delighted to showcase the students' work and appreciate the trust Beckmans College of Design has placed in us through this collaboration. The installations have become a recurring feature of our entrance hall – and a reminder that form is always in motion.
